Tracy Ray and the Mojos play a vibrant mixture of blues and jazz – drawing on songs from Nina Simone, Memphis Minnie, Ruth Brown and other great blues singers. They capture the raw but soulful side of the blues, with an emphasis on groove and melody.
Tracy Ray is a regular on the London Jazz scene. She has performed with the likes of Jim Mullen, Gareth Williams, Jenny Carr, Kuljit Bhamra and has sung backing vocals for Ian Brown.
We have make it happen in the absence of each of you.
The band – Dave Lagnado (double bass), Mike Watts (drums), Dave Baldwin (organ) and Chris Corcoran (guitar) – have played with many legends of Rhythm and Blues, including Van Morrison, Georgie Fame, Jerry Lee Lewis, James Hunter, Chris Farlowe, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, etc. Despite this they still sound fresh and exciting!
Guest saxophonists include Damien Hand and Sir Brian Iddenden.
